“The mission of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America–Arizona is to identify, develop, promote and provide business resources and tools that will give our members a competitive advantage in the HVACR industry.”

 ™ Air Conditioning Contractors of America

Education & Training: 

  • Provided training to 478 participants through 29 classes. 
  • Expanded and maintained the ACCA-AZ Technical Resource Library for members and the HVAC industry
  • Spearheaded cooperative training efforts with schools and other industry organizations 
  • Awarded two Continuing Education Grants to members

Networking:

  • Provided information and networking opportunities through the hosting of nine informational dinner/lunch meetings with an average attendance of 50. 
  • Encouraged partnering relationships through the hosting of a joint dinner meetings with ASHRAE and ASA
  • Maintained five standing committees and one task forces whose members collectively monitored all aspects of the industry and recommended courses of action to keep ACCA-AZ members and ACCA-AZ on top
  • Hosted mixers for over 100 prospective members, Benefits Partners and committee members at Aunt Chilada’s

 Social:

  • Hosted 304 golfers and provided 50 members and friends with profile opportunities through sponsorships and raffle donations at the Spring and Fall Golf Tournaments
  • Entertained over 163 members, their employees and families at our Tenth Annual Bowling Tournament
  • Sponsored four community service projects:
    • Project Cool Aid: Assisted 75 famlies in the Valley and Tucson
    • Canned Food Drive: Collected 986 pounds of food and hygiene products for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul 
    • Easter Basket Giveaway: 150 disadvantaged children received baskets from the Easter Bunny
    • Cooler Start Up: 52 volunteers assisted 106 families over 364 volunteer hours
  • Entertained over 160 members and their families with dinner and award presentations at the Annual Awards Dinner.
  • Entertained 122 Members and their families at Zoo Lights

Public Policy:

  • Lobbied National legislative issues to Arizona Congressmen in Washington D.C. 
  • Maintained a voice in State legislative issues through participation in the Arizona Sub-Contractors Council (ASCC)
  • Encouraged member involvement in the legislative process.
  • Wrote, called and visited State and Federal legislators on pertinent issues
  • Developed working relationship with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors
  • Supported fundraising efforts and endorsed candidates for state legislators 

 Marketing:

  • Delivered valuable information to members:
    • Published a Newsline, a Bimonthly Magazine with news features 
    • Produced and distributed 2,000 copies of the ACCA-AZ Product Directory
    • Produced biweekly ACCA-AZ Update listing current events, meetings, programs and news alerts. 
  • Recruited 28 new members.

 Member Benefits

  • Formally endorsed six ACCA National Affinity Partners providing business services to members.
  • Re-aligned Local Benefit Providers to better meet the needs of members.
  • Set up seven new Benefit Services for members.
  • 52 member companies participated in the Association Dividend Plan with the Arizona State Compensation Fund and shared almost $230,000 in safety dividend awards.
